Greater Portland Mothers of Multiples Club is a local support group for mothers and expectant mothers of multiples in the greater Portland, Maine area. The group offers a variety of opportunities for moms to meet, get acquainted, find support and enjoy their children.

Meetings are held at the Barron Center, 1145 Brighton Avenue Portland, Maine 04102 ( map), on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM.

About the Club

Monthly meetings consist of social time, regular group business and a program with either a speaker, a group project or open discussion time. Snacks and drinks are provided.

In early spring we host our Pamper Yourself Night at the Barron Center. This is a special night for M.O.M.s to socialize and take part in demonstrations from area vendors which in the past have included pedicures, massages & hypnotherapy and obtain information from chiropractors, hair stylists & other wellness professionals.
Membership costs $20 annually.
Members receive a monthly newsletter filled with hints for parenting, raising multiples, research on multiples, recipes, playtime suggestions, columns, and more. Our monthly meeting minutes are also included, as well as dates to remember for club outings.
Twice annually we meet at area restaurants instead of the Barron Center for special get-togethers. These months are May to celebrate Mother's Day and December to celebrate the Holidays. Often another event is held during a summer meeting to enjoy the outdoors. We also host holiday parties for our families in October and December which are always well-attended and memorable!
During the warmer months we schedule times to meet at area playgrounds & other fun spots. These times and places are announced at the meetings, in the newsletter & right here on our site!
Twice a year we hold sales where members can buy and sell their used baby and children's items. Our first sale is always the Saturday prior to Mother's Day in May. This is a well-attended sale, which is open to the public. It is held at Saint Anne's Church in Gorham. Our second sale is held at our regularly scheduled meeting in October. This sale is open to members of the group only.
GPMOMC has set up a Yahoo Group, "GPMOMC Mom-Chat", for its members to use as a source of support, information and reminders. This e-mail loop is a great way for members to keep in touch, ask questions, plan play dates, etc.
